Pakistan's Telcom to provide VoIP through iBasis

iBasis announced on Monday it will be providing VoIP infrastructure for the Pakistan Telecomunications Company Ltd. (PTLT). It will enable PTLT to engage in direct IP connection between its Huawei IP Backbone infrastructure and IBasis' global VoIP network providing direct VoIP access to over 100 countries.

"PTCL is an innovative incumbent carrier embracing the benefits of VoIP to enhance the Pakistan's communications capabilities," said Ofer Gneezy, president and CEO of iBasis. "We look forward to helping them to expand their VoIP services even while we leverage this relationship to grow our traffic to Pakistan."
